Credit Repair Theory

This website is primarily how to do credit repair and take off public records like a bankruptcy off your credit reports, but here is a quick synopsis on the theory.

The basic idea is to use the law to get things off your credit reports – some that may have some truth to them. Don’t lie, there is no need.

By FCRA your credit report items must be accurate and verified. This is how you get them off your report. First you change your personal information so it is different than your tradelines and or public records like bankruptcy was reported. Then we ask them to verify your tradelines and public records like a bankruptcy. Since your trade lines and public records like bankruptcy only records the last 4 digits of your social security number, they can’t use that alone to verify it and it would be inaccurate

Since you change your address and other identifying information to one different than one reported by credit tradelines and public records you want off your credit reports, they can’t use your new address and other identifying information to verify it and it is inaccurate. Since you changed your identifying information to one only your current creditors use, not the bad tradelines creditors and bankruptcy/public records, it is inaccurate and cannot be verified this way AND they are inaccurate.

Since you changed your phone number to one different than one reported by credit tradelines and public records, they can’t use your phone number to verify it and it is inaccurate and unverifiable.

Since you started using your name with just your middle initial and your bankruptcy has your full name and many tradelines have a different name, this is inaccurate and unverifiable. Since you changed the way you use your name to one only your current creditors use, (preferably not the bad tradelines/bankruptcy creditors) and certainly not on your bankruptcy (if you have one), it is inaccurate and cannot be verified.

If tradelines cannot be verified (since you changed your identifying information) they should be removed.

The courts do not verify bankruptcies and other public records to the credit bureaus. Since they cannot verify it with the courts, they must remove it.

That is the basic theory of credit repair of things that are somewhat accurate or just wrong.
